This green cooking apple originated in Australia. It is known for its tart, crisp and juicy flavor. Granny Smith is a very large, round fruit with outstanding shelf life. Needs a pollinator. Ripens late fall.
Gala
Very High Quality apple that has become a staple amount apple varieties.The yellow white flesh is crisp and juicy like Golden Delicious. It bears a sweet flavor with a smooth orange-red color with some background striping. Needs a pollinator.
Fugi
This very popular Japanese apple features high color, pinkish-red skin and outstanding striping. It has very sweet flesh and a firm crisp texture. The fruit is large and has excellent quality. Ripens in late season. Needs a pollinator.
Mutsu
The Matsu Apple fetures a moderately sweet flavor. The creamy white flesh is firm and juicy. the skin is a yellowing green color with an orange blush. The Matsu apple is also commonly referred to as crispin. This tree is vigorous and fairly early, and the fruit is large and oblong shaped. A consistant taste test winner. The apples store and keep well, and are excellent for fresh eating, sauces, pies, and baking. Needs a pollinator, but does not pollinate with Yellow or Golden Delicious. Ripens late October.
